The reputation of Stucco continues to grow throughout California and the United States. Performance, Color, and Design Options, have become a well-liked option for Industrial and Commercial Structures.

The established Three-Coat and One-Coat Stucco, and the progressively more admired Acrylic Finishes:

• Three Coat Stucco- The most sought-after product is The Three Coat Stucco method, which consists of a Scratch Coat,  Brown Coat, and a Finish Coat.
• One Coat Stucco- The most energy efficient product is The One Coat Stucco method which consists of one base coat with a finish coat,. This allows for faster application and takes less time to cure.
• Acrylic Finish- The most desired Finish for Industrial and Commercial applications. It is also the best crack resistant finish and the best water resistant finish available.

Waterproofing  is a fundamental part of defending its structure. Lathing is a process to ensure that your Stucco base is moisture resistant. We usually use materials such as Tar Saturated Felt Paper, Bituthene, Tyvec House Wrap, and other waterproofing substraits. 

The Scratch Coat is the method of applying a Portland Cement Product mixed with an approved aggregate to serve as the Anchor for the Brown Coat. Sacramento Valley Plaster Co. will apply and inspect the Scratch Coat and allow it to adequately cure before the installation of the Brown Coat. Scratch Coat can be applied by hand or machine, whichever is more suitable to fit your project.

After your Scratch Coat is satisfactorily cured, Sacramento Valley Plaster Co. will apply the Brown Coat. The Brown Coat process can also be applied by hand or machine, and is finished in accordance with Architectural Plans to meet the proper application of the Final Texture. On certain Projects where time is an issue, the Scratch and Brown Coat can be applied on the same day using many of the Rapid Set Products available for use in our Industry.

Texture is what gives stucco its substance, dimension and character.

It can be used to provide highlights, depth, and even achieve the look of a completely different construction material such as Wood Timbers, Brick, or Stone Masonry construction.

Here are a few examples of some of our final texture:
